A U.S. shipping address gives Jamaican shoppers a practical way to order from stores that are built mainly for U.S. delivery. Instead of asking the merchant to ship internationally, the store sends the package to the courier’s U.S. warehouse, and the courier forwards it to Jamaica.
To get your Legacy Shipping address, create your customer account. Your dashboard will show the address and customer identifier you should use.
Why Jamaicans use a U.S. warehouse address
Some retailers do not offer direct delivery to Jamaica. Others may offer it, but the shipping cost, carrier choice or delivery process may not be ideal. A courier address allows you to shop using a domestic U.S. destination and then use a Jamaica-focused forwarding service for the next leg.
This setup is commonly used for Amazon, Walmart, eBay, fashion retailers, electronics stores, auto-parts websites and many other merchants.
What your U.S. shipping address normally includes
Your courier address usually contains the warehouse street address plus a customer-specific identifier, suite or mailbox code. That identifier is extremely important because many customers send packages to the same warehouse.
Legacy Shipping shows the customer’s shipping address inside the dashboard so it can be copied directly rather than retyped from memory.
How to enter the address at checkout
- Copy the recipient name exactly as instructed.
- Enter the warehouse street address in Address Line 1.
- Enter the suite, mailbox or customer code in the correct secondary address field.
- Use the city, state and ZIP code exactly as shown.
- Review the full address before placing the order.
If a retailer combines the address lines differently, make sure the customer identifier is still visible somewhere the carrier will print on the shipping label.
Do not remove your customer code
A missing customer code does not necessarily mean the package is lost, but it can make automatic matching more difficult and may create a delay while the warehouse tries to identify the owner.
If you realize after ordering that the code was omitted, keep the tracking number and contact Legacy Shipping as early as possible.
Keep the invoice and tracking number
Save the order confirmation, invoice and carrier tracking number. The tracking number helps identify the package at the warehouse, while the invoice can support value and item information for Customs processing.
Jamaica Customs recommends that importers supply authentic receipts and obtain required permits before goods arrive. See the agency’s eCommerce reminders for official guidance.
Check shipping cost before buying heavy items
The product price is only one part of the landed cost. Heavy or bulky products can cost significantly more to move than small everyday parcels. Before placing a larger order, check Legacy Shipping’s current rates.
US shipping address FAQ
Can I use the address on Amazon?
In most cases, yes. Enter the address as the shipping destination and make sure your customer identifier is included exactly as provided.
Can I use the address on Temu or SHEIN?
Many customers use courier warehouse addresses with major online stores. The exact checkout format can vary by merchant, so always verify that the full warehouse and customer-code information appears on the order.
What happens after the order is delivered to the warehouse?
The courier receives and processes the package, matches it to the customer account, and moves it through the shipping workflow to Jamaica. You can then follow customer-facing updates in your dashboard.
